ATIENZA and the Planet URLN

Preliminary note: this document contains a transcription of the articles on the so-called SINOD Case that appeared in issues 884 (of 12-12-1968) and 885 (of 19-12-1968) of the magazine LAE (La Actualidad Española), as well as the reference of the other three articles on the same subject that appeared in that magazine in issues 886, 888 and 893, which I have not transcribed because their information on ATIENZA and the planet URLN is practically nil.

Before the transcription, I have taken the liberty of extracting and copying a few paragraphs from David Lozano Marqués's document "CRONOLOGÍA DEL CASO UMMO" (Chronology of the UMMO Case), which describes the surrounding circumstances of the said SINOD Case.

CHRONOLOGY OF THE UMMO CASE

SINOD Case

(David Lozano Marqués)

DATE: 12 November 1968

SUBJECT: SINOD CASE

On this day a person hidden behind the pseudonym "Sinod", whose real name, as we can read in Antonio Ribera's book "UMMO: La Increíble Verdad" (UMMO: The Incredible Truth), was Francisco Donis Ortiz, had an encounter with a UFO which later would bring him great involvement in the UMMO affair. The case was, in broad outline, as follows:

On the day mentioned, Sinod was travelling in his car from Valencia to Madrid when someone telepathically told him to turn off onto the road to the Parador Nacional of Alarcón, where he was going to meet an extraterrestrial. After his car broke down, he managed to reach the parador thanks to a lorry driver who helped him get it going again, and there he found, floating close to the ground, a large disc-shaped object from which a human being came down. He said his name was Atienza and that he was descended from humans but was a native of a planet called URLN, whose inhabitants were small macrocephalic beings, although there was also a small colony of terrestrials.

SUBJECT: PUBLICATION OF THE SINOD CASE

The magazine La Actualidad Española publishes in its issues 884 (12 12 1968), 885 (19 12 1968), 886 (26 12 1968), 888 (9 1 1969) and 893 (13 2 1969) some articles signed by F. Sinod, in which he relates his encounter with an extraterrestrial called Francisco Atienza, from whom he received telepathic messages.

As a consequence of the publication of his experiences, on 18 January 1969 F. Sinod (Francisco Donis) receives a letter from the Ummites in which they propose to him what we can read in the following paragraphs taken from that letter:

UMMOAELEWE

Language Spanish

Single Copy

Honourable Sir:

"In your account of the contacts you have had with the visitor Atienza, you stated that you continue to maintain relations of ideographic communication of a telepathic character with him.

We beg you, among the questions you put to him, simply to ask him whether he would be willing to answer, for us (since until now the possibility of initiating contact with that civilization has not been favourable to us), a question formulated by means of a binary code.

We simply REPEAT: to know whether he would be willing to provide that answer.

The reply the said Mr. Atienza gives you, you could communicate to us through one of your articles, or otherwise we would suggest another means for it to reach us".

On 28 February of that same year Donis receives a new letter from the Ummites:

UMMOAELEWE

Francisco Donis Ortiz

MADRID SPAIN

DATE: 28 2 69

Honourable Sir:

"We have read your kind answer to our message. Through its context we were able to observe with satisfaction that you gladly accede to our request. A request you were not obliged to satisfy, so your attitude must be the object of our warmest gratitude.

It is true that on certain occasions we have come to offer irrefutable proofs of a personal character to certain brothers of yours on EARTH, although we then adopted severe precautions to prevent an indiscretion or a change of attitude towards us on the part of such OEMMI (Men) from seriously damaging our rules of reserve.

We are prepared in your case, Mr. Donis Ortiz, to offer them to you if you were to offer yourself as intermediary between F. ATIENZA and us.

We now transmit to you the coded text which we beg you to pass on to your strange correspondent Francisco Atienza, coming, for us, from the unknown Planet URLN, as soon as you find yourself at a favourable juncture for that ideographic telepathic oral communication, or transmitted by any suitable means you judge technically reliable.

We beg you in any case, if you obtain an answer, not to divulge it through any mass medium. We cannot coerce you into complying with this request, but we ask you most earnestly to keep this reserve. We will inform you of the means of communicating it to us as soon as you let us know that you have obtained such an answer. It will constitute for us a criterion confirming the suitability of F. Atienza's testimony and the basis for knowing whether he wishes new communications from us (last three coded numbers).

Sir: For us this favour is very important. We reached you through the account that appeared in print in the periodical LA ACTUALIDAD ESPAÑOLA..."

SUBJECT: MEETING AT DONIS'S HOME

On this day, close to the reception of this last letter, a meeting is held at Donis's home, in calle de Antonia Mercé in Madrid, between him and other persons who received Ummite correspondence, among them Antonio Ribera and Rafael Farriols. The reason for this meeting was to read that letter, but the others involved wanted to take the opportunity to give Donis a series of questions for him in turn to pass on to the Ummites. At a given moment during the reading of the letter, the maid tells Donis that someone wants him on the telephone. He then interrupts the reading and answers the call, where he hears a nasal voice asking him that "the brothers gathered in your home should not put questions to my brothers". This call was partly recorded by Farriols by applying a suction cup to an extension. According to Antonio Ribera in "UMMO: La Increíble Verdad", this recording has been analysed in various acoustics laboratories, Spanish and foreign, and its frequencies "are not human"(7).

I HAVE SPOKEN WITH AN EXTRATERRESTRIAL BEING

(First of the series of articles that appeared in "La Actualidad Española", published on 12-12-1968 in LAE No. 884)

I am the Levante director of an important company and I travel very frequently by car between the different provinces of the Spanish Levante and Madrid. I have a house in the Spanish capital and another on the coast of Alicante.

For the past month, and especially on 25 and 26 October, when I was in two different cities to give lectures, I had been receiving, almost daily, a kind of confused mental message announcing to me a coming encounter with an extraterrestrial man.

As I have never had hallucinations and hardly any dreams, this surprised me greatly, but I tried to consign it to oblivion, believing it to be absurd thoughts.

On the 12th of this month, after a normal working day and meetings with two clients in Valencia, I had supper in the village of Chiva, since I was heading for Madrid with the triple purpose of collecting a SEAT 124 that had just been allotted to me (selling the SEAT 1,500 in which I was making the journey), of inspecting the setting-out of a chalet that is about to be built for me on the plot I have bought on a housing estate near Madrid, and of seeing about the purchase of a flat, since one of my daughters is getting married in a few months.

I never touch alcohol, and that night I had one of the simplest suppers. I asked for a double coffee, as I always do when I drive at night. I was perfectly "fit" to make a quick night journey.

However, as soon as I got behind the wheel, I began to receive, telepathically, the same "message" I have already mentioned, very confused at first, but then with ever greater precision and intensity, as if whoever was emitting those thoughts were gradually approaching me. The "message" became specific, telling me that I should have no fear and that the encounter would take place on the turn-off road leading to the parador of Castillo de Alarcón. Meanwhile I continued on my way along the Valencia to Madrid road, at a much lower speed than I normally drive.

About four kilometres before reaching the junction leading to the parador, the headlights of the 1,500 began to flicker and the ignition to fail, the car finally coming to a stop. At the same time I felt as if I were being spoken to mentally from a short distance and "from above".

The "message" was now almost a kindly imperative order: "Take the first turning on the left. We are going to meet. Do not be afraid. It will be an experience you will be glad all your life to have had".

I thought then that I was the victim of a hallucination and that in those conditions I should not continue the journey to Madrid, so it seemed prudent to me to go and sleep at the parador (or perhaps, unconsciously, I wanted to follow the order I was being given?). It must have been about one in the morning at that moment.

When I tried to start the car, it would not start. Then, at some distance along the road, a lorry appeared heading for Madrid; I signalled to it to stop, and it did.

I explained to the driver how the car would not start, and we tried unsuccessfully to get it going. I asked him timidly whether he was not receiving a sort of message from above (I was ashamed to explain my sensation more fully to a stranger, fearing he would take me for a madman). I think he paid no attention to this, logically concerned with helping me start the car and continuing quickly on his way. He told me to get behind the wheel while he pushed, and so we managed to start the engine.

While I was busy revving it so that it would not stall, he got into his lorry and I went ahead of him in my car, he staying behind since he was going more slowly. (Incidentally, it would be very interesting for me to get in touch with this kind and helpful lorry driver, whom I hardly had time to thank)

A few minutes later I reached the junction, turned left towards the parador, and when I had gone about two kilometres along the turn-off road (always with the "message" in my mind, ever more precise, announcing the imminent encounter), the lights began to flicker again, the spark plugs to misfire and the engine stopped, just as I began the descent of a small rise I had just topped, while I saw ahead of me on my left an immense disc-shaped craft, or one like an inverted soup plate, 15 to 20 metres in diameter, suspended three metres above the ground, with one of its edges tangent to the vertical plane containing the left-hand edge of the road, with a central turret about three metres high. It was lit by a soft pink light which allowed one to make out a series of hatches arranged in a circle.

I remember that I felt no fear; I simply thought: Good heavens, so it was true!, so excellent had the "telepathic preparation" been.

I got out of the 1,500, which remained parked on the right of the road, and stood beside it. I then felt a little numb, moving and breathing with some difficulty; I had the sensation of being inside an electric field of powerful lines of force.

One of the hatches of the craft opened. A telescopic extending ladder appeared, which came down about three metres until it touched the edge of the road, and down it came a man who walked towards me with his arms and hands open.

As he came closer I could see him by the light of the Moon, which at that moment came out from behind the clouds on my left.

He looked like a normal man, about 1.62 metres tall, slim, about fifty years old, dressed in a kind of one-piece skiing suit, the trousers fitted at the ankles, made of a beautiful shiny greyish fabric.

He came towards me smiling: "I am Francisco Atienza; I am descended from men of the Earth, but I was born on another planet. I have been in imperfect telepathic communication with you, preparing this encounter of peace and friendship". (I had the feeling that he radiated waves of understanding, of kindness and of friendship).

He shook my hand. I noticed that he realized my physical discomfort and I "felt" him send an order to the "flying saucer". Its lights went out; my oppression disappeared. I felt better: it was as if the "electric field" had been extinguished.

The man said to me: "It's rather cold" (he spoke perfect Castilian). "Wouldn't we be better sitting in your car?" I opened the left rear door and got into the car, sitting on the right-hand side. He got in too and sat beside me.

I left on the interior light of the 1,500, the dipped headlights and the side lights.

-How is it that you speak our language perfectly?- I asked him.

-Yes, just as I speak French, English, German and the other languages of Western Europe. I have learned it by reading the minds of humans, apart from the linguistic knowledge of my direct ancestors, who spoke old Castilian. Watch my lips: I will stop moving them and yet you will go on "hearing" me telepathically. "Nor is it necessary for you to speak to me: I read your thoughts. Try it", and his right hand gently took hold of my left wrist.

Indeed, from that moment a telepathic conversation began between us, clearer and more precise than if it had been spoken. When he suddenly let go of my wrist, there seemed to be a change of "tone" and of "volume" (lower), but the transmission remained perfect.

And there began between us an astonishing telepathic dialogue which was to last an hour, the two of us seeing each other thanks to the car's interior light and by the light of the Moon, almost always obscured by the clouds, which from time to time lit up the enormous mass of the flying saucer majestically suspended above the ground. On the right, a kilometre away, the lights of the village of Castillo de Alarcón, where the Parador Nacional Marqués de Villena is. Not a single sound disturbed the perfect silence of the night, while my brain feverishly absorbed the precious information which, with words and at increasing speed, passed from Francisco Atienza's brain to mine.

SOME THREE HUNDRED YEARS AGO...

My first mental question concerned my wish to know his origins and how he had come to that place.

-The only terrestrial ancestor of mine whose name we know for certain was called Francisco Alianza, like myself, and lived some three hundred years ago in the Interior of what is today Argentina, near the border with Chile.

-He was a Spanish soldier who later decided to settle there as a small farmer and stock-breeder, and who lived in isolation with his wife, of Indian origin, who died of an illness when this couple's son turned eight. Also part of the family was a five-year-old Indian girl whom they had taken in.

-At that time the Fourth Civilization of URLN (1), established on a planet relatively close to the Earth, was trying to establish contact with the Earth-dwellers, meeting difficulties similar to those that terrestrial astronauts will have when they reach the Moon, having to move inside space suits with equipment that allows them to breathe in an environment not created for them.

(1) The phonetics of this name were repeated to me several times and I write it as closely as possible, although it is not exact

-As the intelligent beings of the Fourth Civilization of URLN were different from terrestrial beings, the latter reacted to the former sometimes by fleeing in terror and at other times by trying to attack them.

-They therefore tried to limit their contacts to families or isolated men whom they tried to help and to show their friendly feelings, in order to come to an understanding with them, since the beings of URLN, who communicated among themselves telepathically, could only do so with the men of the Earth in a very imperfect and one-sided way.

-Francisco Atienza and his family, exceptionally, ended up getting used to the presence of the flying saucers and of the "men in strange suits" who helped them in everything and exchanged Information mainly by signs and drawings.

-This coexistence lasted almost a year, until Francisco Atienza, by then a widower, died in an accident; and then, as the two children of eight and five were left totally helpless in that lonely place, they took them to the planet URLN, after carefully preparing a compartment of the spaceship for their transfer and building for them on their remote planet a kind of large glazed dwelling "like a greenhouse", which retained inside it an artificially produced atmosphere as similar as possible to that of the Earth. The soil too "was manufactured" so that it would be similar to terrestrial soil and could produce certain plants and seeds that were taken from the Earth (2)

(2) It seems there has been a mutual exchange of seeds between the Earth and URLN.

- The best educators of URLN entered that special dwelling of the terrestrial children and taught them how to communicate with them, and especially the moral, social, political and religious knowledge that allowed them to integrate mentally with the population of URLN.

-The children also made excursions outside their little "glass city" (3), but generally they remained inside it so as to be able to move freely, avoid the risk of accidents and not experience the great difficulties caused by having to wear suits sealed against the outside atmosphere.

(3) This should not be taken literally. It is a simile

-After twelve generations, the descendants of that initial pair of children, and of other terrestrial men and women who on rare special occasions (4) were also taken from the Earth to URLN, became acclimatized to this kind of life.

(4) Of some of these occasions traces remain in the press and in some books published on Earth.

-The latest descendants of this twelfth generation are men and women who mentally are much more evolved than present-day Earth-dwellers, but morphologically remain almost identical to us. The differences are: the average height is stationary, the weight of the brain and the cranial capacity are a little greater and tending to grow, and fertility in males is lower, which has required, on the one hand, that almost all the humans transferred from the Earth to URLN be men and, on the other, that polygamy be established among the hundred or so descendants of terrestrials who inhabit URLN.

-Whereas on Earth the number of males born is similar to that of females, among the members of the "emigrated race" on URLN many more females than males are born, and the sages of the race of URLN, who are very advanced in genetics, do not know the causes exactly, although they attribute them to differences in food, gravity, temperature, etc., and especially to the way of life in small sealed cities with an artificial atmosphere.

-In the same way as on Earth many animals in captivity reproduce with difficulty (and without this implying an irreverent comparison), the terrestrial men transferred to URLN lose fertility.

-This is a great sorrow for the emigrated race and for the intelligent beings of URLN who sponsor it, for they see in it a proof that perhaps the transplanting of beings from one planet to another is not pleasing to God.

(Here my mind questioned Francisco Atienza as to why those hundred or so men and women who now live on URLN did not return to the Earth.)

-Although morphologically we could be mistaken for Earth-dwellers and could adapt, with some small discomfort, to physical life on Earth, mentally it would be impossible for us to do so, because our way of acting is different from that of the Earth-dwellers and would give rise to continual conflicts.

- We read the minds of a good part of the Earth-dwellers, and what we read there does not please us. Your world is immensely hypocritical and insincere, although a large part of terrestrial Humanity says it accepts the divine precept, in which we believe, to "love God above all things and your neighbour as yourself". Among us this commandment systematically shapes our conduct, whereas many of those among you who boast of being Christians contradict with their way of life what they proclaim as their beliefs.

-For those of us who have been educated in the Fourth Civilization of URLN, this is unimaginable, and not because we are perfectly virtuous; but the great social sins that you commit have already been banished from among us, and wars, massacres, ferocious ambition, the eagerness for domination and power that prevails in a great number of humans have been eliminated. All that is as alien to us as cannibalism may be to the Spaniards of today.

-Those plagues existed in the Third Civilization of URLN, in the stage of Nationalisms, which with God's help we have left behind; and let it be clear that we are not so stupid and proud as to believe ourselves superior for that reason. We have simply had access to a more advanced civilization, because it is older, and we have thus raised our degree of collective virtue somewhat.

-Of the infinite series of steps separating the Divinity from the intelligent beings who people the Universe, we are, with respect to you, in a position we could relatively define as "a few steps higher up", which you will undoubtedly also climb in time, perhaps surpassing us, as you already surpass us in the world of painting, sculpture, music and literature.

-The tragedy in our possible mutual relations lies in the fact that we do not see a clear way of being able to help you climb the steps faster.

-As soon as the hundred or so emigrants from Earth and their descendants came to this planet where we are, you, who make racial distinctions as subtle as the colour of the skin, would classify them as "invaders, spies, extraterrestrials who come to invade our world, etc...".

-An essential stumbling block to coexistence among the men of the Earth is their total lack of sincerity. Man uses words to hide his thought.

-It would be unbearable for you if, when one of your politicians said to us: "Welcome; we wish to receive your sages so that they may teach us what we do not know", we, who cannot lie because our mental mechanism prevents us, had to answer him: "We read your mind and see that your words are insincere: you have great doubts about the advisability of dealing with us. You want our scientific advances in order better to dominate other countries". For that reason we consider it harmful to give you access to a more advanced technology. Your failing lies in the slowness of your social, political, moral and religious progress, with which you concern yourselves very little, obsessed as you are with material and scientific conquests. Jesus Christ showed you the clear paths to follow and you crucified him. Twenty centuries have passed and you have hardly improved in essentials. The danger of an atomic war is serious. In one of the most technically advanced nations of the Earth three of the men whose ideas could have helped its real progress have recently been assassinated.

(Here my mind, eager "to know more", interrupted him: I wonder what his purpose was in making contact with me.)

-Without realizing it, you are becoming mentally tired as a result of this exercise, unaccustomed for you, of telepathic transmission, which you keep asking me for at ever greater speed. We will interrupt our dialogue for a short time and then I will go on to answer your question.

"WE KNOW NOTHING..."

-After a few minutes' rest, Francisco Atienza, the extraterrestrial man, answered:

-The terrestrial race that emigrated to the planet URLN has an even greater telepathic capacity for receiving mental messages from Earth-dwellers than the race of URLN itself, which is logical if one considers the morphological equality between Earth-dwellers and men like me. The main reason for the emigration of some Earth-dwellers, an emigration directed by the race of URLN, was precisely to come to have a number of terrestrial humans, educated by them in a higher civilization, who could serve as a "bridge" or link between the two races.

-This "trial" has so far been negative on some points and positive on others.

-We read the minds of a good part of the men of the Earth, with greater or lesser perfection according to each particular case, according to the distance separating the "reader" from the person "read" and according to the momentary state of mind of the latter.

-Men and women of all races and social classes, of all ages and of every condition thus supply us with very complete information on the events of the Earth and, moreover, on what they think about those events.

-We are only interested in the political-social and economic facts that affect human groups, and very especially the processes that lead to group decision-making in moral and religious matters. We never enter into the private life of people as such.

-On the other hand, until now we had totally failed to get the men of the Earth to understand our "messages": I am, for example, an excellent receiver of the thought of thousands of Earth-dwellers, but only with you have I been able to make my thought reach you, albeit imperfectly, so as to bring about our meeting in this place.

-One learns by doing. At this moment we are both practising the mechanism of two-way telepathic transmission, made easier by our great proximity, in the hope of being able to continue our communication at a distance when we separate.

-In a way similar to how duly tuned radio and television receivers pick up the waves of certain transmitting stations, you and I are achieving a two-way tuning for the future. Our experiment is being followed right now on URLN with enormous expectation, for it is the first experience of perfect reception by an Earth-dweller.

-Previously, all the men and women of terrestrial descent who live on URLN have tried to send you messages and you have received none of them: only mine. It seems most probable that when one of the two of us dies, the two-way communication will be broken until another pair appears capable of achieving the tuning we have already established. We are working and will work tirelessly on this, encouraged by this first true success.

-The reception by the "men of URLN" of the thoughts inscribed in the minds of the men of the Earth no longer presents us with any problem. Curiously, "mediums", "terrestrial telepaths" (who communicate with one another without difficulty) have no special aptitude for relating to us. On the other hand, the group of politicians, writers, preachers, musicians and artists, presidents of large organizations, leaders of multitudes, etc..., all who live from their relation with the public or try to influence it, are usually "open minds", in which we read with greater precision and clarity than in others.

-It must be borne in mind that we cannot use the information we gather for terrestrial purposes: only for our own knowledge. We keep what we read in the mind of an Earth-dweller as a professional secret. On the other hand, I stress again, we cannot invade the "personal zone" of human feeling. With you we have been able to establish a two-way telepathic contact and we can make "suggestions" to you, never oblige you to act.

-I think it very advisable to insist on these points because the mind of Earth-dwellers, if you spread this information, is inclined to think: "They will use the knowledge of our minds to make us their slaves and make us act in accordance with their own particular aims".

-The truth is that we neither wish to do so nor can we. It is something like what happens with those Earth-dwellers who can hypnotize others, but not oblige them to act against their conscience or force them, for example, to murder another human being. Divine Wisdom has a series of "safeguards" in this respect which our experience shows can never be overstepped. The soul is always free.

-In truth, all the beings with souls who inhabit URLN only know "that they know nothing". As the volume of our knowledge increases (like the volume of a sphere whose radius grows), so does the surface of contact (of the sphere) with the outside, with the unknown, and therefore the more we know, the more we realize the immensity of what we do not know.

-On the other hand, we have received from the Earth a precious culture which we treasure and use. On URLN the music of Mendelssohn, Mozart, Bach, Beethoven, Wagner, Chopin, Schubert, Black folklore (oh, the spirituals!) and that of all races, and even certain forms of modern music, is spread, although we are astonished at how little you select, in music as in books or shows. You seem to prefer the coarsest or most vulgar, provided it is new.

-Although it is true that the "morality or religiousness of the mass of our population" is much higher than that of yours, on the other hand we have never yet produced individuals like a Teresa of Jesus or a St John of the Cross, who by themselves reached direct dialogue with God, who we believe is the ultimate end of civilizations.

(Here my mind ventured a question that was immediately answered.)

-Do not be astonished at the detail with which we know your life on Earth. Through the thought of humans, by recording your radio and television broadcasts, reading your books through your minds (all of us descendants of Earth-dwellers who live on URLN devote ourselves to these missions, helped by the "race of URLN"), collecting samples of your minerals, your soils, your plants and animals, we have a more complete "dossier" on everything concerning the Earth than any that you men have compiled on your planet. I understand that if you were to tell Earth-dwellers the great number of film actors who, without knowing it, send us information, they would consider this a frivolous fancy and condemn the rest of the account as fantastic. You are at a stage of your evolution at which you can hardly bear the truth. That is why it is almost impossible for you to understand us, and that is why we want to relate to some terrestrial like you who can pass on to the others at least some part of our ideas.

-This also explains why we give you hardly anything: simply because you are not in a condition to receive it. Example: you may love your kitten very much, you understand it fairly well, but it is impossible for you to communicate to it fully your world of ideas and feelings. And I ask forgiveness again for the irreverence of the comparisons, but I cannot find a more appropriate simile. How are you to understand a world with a greater number of dimensions than the one you see? Dialogue and explanation are almost impossible. That is why all the extraterrestrials who study the Earth avoid contacts, especially with large groups of men, which would give rise to wild incidents.

-However, I am a sample of the "potential existing in the terrestrial race", for in only twelve generations we have caught up with the Fourth Civilization of URLN. This is the great joy of our emigrated race. Some of our individuals help the Government of URLN.

-We know, in some detail, ten present-day civilizations different from ours. Some at a higher degree of evolution, others at a lower one. At the present moment there must exist many other civilizations unknown to us.

-Everything we believe humans should do has already been told you by men of the Earth.

(My mind was absorbing ever more rapidly the information it was receiving: it was an intoxicating exercise. Eagerly, I began another series of questions...)

I HAVE SPOKEN WITH AN EXTRATERRESTRIAL BEING

(Second of the series of articles that appeared in "La Actualidad Española", published on 19-12-1968 in LAE No. 885)

In the previous article I narrated how my mind, in an intoxicating exercise, asked Francisco Atienza ever more rapidly for information on the subjects I believed to be of the most fascinating interest.

Telepathic communication, as we had established it, was infinitely more perfect than verbal communication, for it allowed the transmission of thought, by means of words, at a much greater speed than orally, without loss of precision or coherence.

I, who am very fond of fast cars, can compare the sensation of the telepathic conversation to the pleasure that the driver of a prodigious car would feel if it allowed him to push and keep pushing the speed without the vehicle losing its grip on the road and without fear of overturning on the bends.

In any case, perhaps on reaching a limit of the order of ten times the speed of an ordinary conversation, it was Atienza himself who showed me how, without my noticing, I was becoming mentally fatigued and how this accumulated fatigue could be harmful to me, inviting me then to rest and to go down to the road to walk towards the spaceship, which majestically remained about three metres above the ground, almost absolutely motionless; and I say "almost" because the ladder (extensible and telescopic) shrank or lengthened a little (by ten to twenty centimetres?) and "trailed" very slightly over the ground.

"This saucer is crewed by members of the race of URLN", Atienza told me telepathically, after a couple of minutes of complete interruption of our mental communication.

-The interior of the spaceship is conditioned with the same type of atmosphere as there is on URLN, except for the compartment in which I travel as a passenger, which is independent and communicates directly with the terrestrial atmosphere while we are in it.

-Do not ask me about the propulsion mechanism. First because I am not a technician in those matters. Then because we have strict orders to keep it secret, to the point of having to destroy the spaceship before allowing it to fall into the hands of Earth-dwellers. Indeed, once the propulsion system is known, it is very easy to apply its principles to warlike ends, with incalculable destructive possibilities.

-Your present rockets can only serve very limited purposes, such as those you have developed so far: launching artificial satellites or making short journeys into the extraterrestrial space near the Earth. It will already be very dangerous to go to, stay on and return from the Moon.

-For interplanetary journeys you will first have to discover other types of apparatus with ionic or photonic engines or atomic fuel, with direct conversion into electricity, learning to handle gravitational or electromagnetic fields, or resorting to what we call "interpenetration of space", which is the system all races capable of jumping from one planetary system to another use to cross the enormous interstellar spaces. The system of "interpenetration" is the only one that allows distances of light years to be travelled, but it is not accessible to persons limited to the visible Universe of the three classical spatial dimensions plus the dimension of time.

-Really, terrestrial men undertake enterprises for which they are not yet prepared, and the loss of precious human lives is very likely if, with the present rudimentary means, they try to go further. The Moon is of no interest. Reaching it is a question of false prestige. Just as some years ago the title of "great power" was only achieved by the nations that possessed colonies, today that title is obtained by the nations that make atomic bombs and are able to launch them accurately over long distances. But just as the possession of colonies became discredited, the manufacture of missiles will also become discredited in the future,

-We are frightened by the race to obtain "the lunar base". Why not put the affairs of the Earth in order, eliminating hunger, ignorance and wars, before launching yourselves into outer space?

-But let us allow your mind to rest while I "touch" some of your industrial products, something I have never done and perhaps will never be able to do again. Until now my flying saucer has only landed in America, in uninhabited areas, to collect samples of soil, minerals, plants, insects, etc.

And so saying (or rather, so thinking), and with my approval, after feeling the firmness of the tyres and the bodywork panels of my SEAT 1,500, he sat at the controls while I sat beside him.

He turned the steering wheel a little to the right and left (it seemed rather heavy to him), touched the controls for dipping the lights, the horn, the windscreen wipers, etc., asked which was the tuning control and which the tone and volume of the radio, whether the keys were for automatic tuning of stations, etc...

In the glove compartment he saw some little advertising books of matches (I do not smoke), and with childlike curiosity he said: "I have never struck one; may I do so now?". And after watching me strike a couple of them he devoted himself to the task with such enthusiasm that he used up all the matches in one book and left the floor of my car strewn with them. (He took another complete book of matches away to the planet URLN.)

He carried out all these simple activities with the ingenuousness and joy of a child allowed for the first time to put into practice theoretical knowledge previously acquired with great thoroughness and effort.

With our telepathic conversation under way again "at full speed", I asked which beings on Earth had expressed philosophical thoughts with which they agreed.

He said they admired the thought of saints and mystics such as St Augustine, St Ignatius of Loyola, St Francis of Assisi, St Teresa of Jesus or St John of the Cross; and men such as Aristotle, Galileo, Newton, Max Planck, Alexis Carrel, Einstein, or the last two Popes, as well as the architects or sculptors of classical Greece, the great masters of classical painting on Earth (not equalled by the IV Civilization of URLN), the musicians whose names we have already reproduced elsewhere, politicians such as Gandhi, etc.

He told me that when we separated (he had to carry out a mission in America, but would return later to Europe) we would resume our telepathic conversation "at a great distance" through the reading of a chosen text which, so to speak, "would put our dialogue on track" and would accustom me to receiving his thought from a long distance in a more perfect and continuous way than in the first communications, in which only by dint of repetition and insistence did he manage to get me to coincide with him at our meeting place.

It must have been half past one in the morning by then. In the telepathic conversation I was having with Francisco Atienza one question remained unanswered:

Why can the system of "interpenetration of space", which is the one they used to travel interstellar distances, not be accessible to us?

-It will be, no doubt, in the future -said Atienza-, but God grant that it be many centuries from now, when you have evolved enough to obtain benefits and not destruction from so great a discovery.

-You Earth-dwellers (and we too) live in an illusory Universe which is not the real Universe. The latter is known only to God.

-You perceive only the three dimensions of width, length and height, plus what you call time. In all, four dimensions. We reach ten dimensions, but we know there are more. Thus the world our senses see is incomplete and fictitious. Example: What you call mass is a whole group of dimensions, and the world of souls is completely unknown to you. At most you have some glimpses of it.

-To the senses "it seems to us" that we live surrounded by solid objects and that the Earth too is solid. However, any physics student knows that matter occupies insignificant parts of total space and that if the electrons and protons composing it were packed together, eliminating the intermediate spaces, the volume of the Earth would be reduced to that of a football.

-When you discovered the microscope, the world of the very small "appeared": viruses, bacteria, microbes, etc... With the discovery of the telescope new galaxies and millions of stars appeared. However, these galaxies and those microbes were already with you in the time of Jesus Christ: what happened is that "they were not visible to you" and therefore, for man, they did not exist.

-Man's senses are so crude and deceptive that they consider sensations of light, heat or sound to be entirely different. We already identify them all equally as one and the same vibratory physical phenomenon in which only the wavelength varies.

-I believe our sun is what you call the Star Alpha Centauri, which is "in a straight line", as you say, about four light years away. Well, we travel that space in a few months, whose number depends on certain variable circumstances, which is absurd in your conventional Physics, which supposes "there are no short cuts" that allow one to travel faster than the speed of light.

-The short cut exists, and it is "spatial interpenetration".

My mind interrupted the message of his with another question:

-When did the civilization of URLN establish its first contact with our planet?

-Only some four hundred years ago, and in what is today South America, which, being thinly populated then, was a good place for discreet contacts; but other civilizations from other planets must have had much older contacts with you, as is attested by the five hundred and ninety-three enormous statues of Easter Island, in the Pacific, three thousand kilometres from the coasts of Chile, where enormous blocks of basalt and other rocks, difficult to move even with the most modern terrestrial techniques, fit together with marvellous perfection,

-The gigantic statues (some from fifteen to fifty metres high) seem to have been sculpted with a radioactive paste that ate into the rock.

-On this volcanic island there were only two hundred inhabitants in the 19th century, and inscriptions have been found (which we have deciphered on URLN) that speak of the "flying men" who came to the island in very remote times.

-We know only twelve different planetary races (although there must be many more), and most of them only through the references given us by the inhabitants of the planet Orma on the visit they made to URLN a decade ago.

-All these races (beings with souls) believe in one God, although the revelation has been made in an entirely different way for each planet. They are at different stages of evolution and morphologically they are influenced by the characteristics of the planets on which they live, but all show that they were created "in the image and likeness of God".

-There are no absolute superiorities. For example: the race of URLN is the one with the most marked telepathic power (which we terrestrials who emigrated to URLN have taken up). However, this power decreases as distance increases, which does not happen in other races. You Earth-dwellers stand out in artistic tasks and aesthetic sense. We also greatly admire "the sense of humour" of some of your most outstanding individuals in this respect, and the possibility for some humans of establishing a transitory direct communication with God.

-On the other hand, your educational systems, your political and social organizations, your morals and your practical religiousness are disastrous, and in these respects you occupy the lowest place on the scale of the twelve races I have mentioned.

- The race of URLN occupies, in these respects, eleventh place, that is, the one closest to yours, and so do the terrestrial emigrants on URLN, since mentally we are integrated with them.

-Precisely your own imperfection makes our communication with you, and the understanding of your strange way of thinking and acting, easier.

-The most evolved races attach no importance to scientific and technical development, since it occurs "automatically and irrepressibly" as any race develops in the course of time. On the contrary, too rapid an evolution in this field can be dangerous.

-Although you now have a scientific and technical level much lower than the other eleven races mentioned, this is because terrestrial civilization is the youngest of all.

-However, your scientific and technological development is much faster than that which existed in the other races when they were at the same stage of scientific evolution you are now at. And this inspires in us the great fear that in the future you may surpass the scientific development of the other eleven races and use it for destructive ends.

-None of the eleven races has any desire for expansion or domination over other planets; they simply aspire to inform themselves, to help one another and to maintain a policy of "good neighbourliness". The motto could be "Each in his own house and God in everyone's". We only know of one race that emigrated from its planet to a satellite until then uninhabited, because the resources of its old home were running out and life was becoming impossible there. This was a very rare circumstance and hardly repeatable.

-Really, you Earth-dwellers should in a way abandon the study of "things" and concentrate on the study of the "sciences of man" and on the progress of the spirit. Your technical and scientific development in the most advanced countries is sufficient, and what those nations must do is spread it among those that are materially less advanced. This help should be philanthropic and absolutely disinterested.

-A spiritualist nation like India could be paired with a materially highly developed nation like the United States, and they could influence each other positively, giving each other a mutual help which you Earth-dwellers seem not even to have begun to sense.

-And how does life develop on the planet URLN?

On this subject Francisco Atienza, the extraterrestrial man, informed me as follows:

-The sages of URLN calculate that in the Universe there must be more than two million planets or satellites on which humanoids, that is, intelligent beings of a higher type, can develop.

-One of your astronomers, the director of the Harvard Astronomical Observatory, Harlow L. Shapley, believes there may be a hundred million planets in these conditions (1).

-Our planet URLN, situated a few light years from the Earth, is one of them.

-With a volume approximately equal to half that of the Earth and of spheroidal shape, its living conditions are harder than on Earth: much greater variation in temperature, sudden changes in atmospheric pressure, almost constant hurricane-force winds on the surface, a smaller number of plant and animal species (quite different from those of the Earth).

-The movement of rotation around its axis is a little slower than on Earth (longer days). The elliptical orbit the planet URLN describes around its sun is travelled in approximately twice the time of the Earth's orbit, with the consequent effect on the length of what we could call "URLN years".

-The density of the planet URLN is somewhat greater than that of the Earth. The mass of the oceans there is much smaller, first because they are much less deep, and secondly because solid ground occupies three fifths of the planet, divided into two continents, roughly similar to the terrestrial Americas, extending from the North to the South pole and occupying almost symmetrical positions.

-There are, besides, many islands distributed irregularly in the double ocean.

-There are approximately three thousand one hundred million inhabitants on URLN (of whom one hundred and twenty are descendants of Earth-dwellers). This figure is almost stationary and has been growing for a very long time, but almost imperceptibly.

-There is a single Government for the whole planet, formed by what we could call a President and twelve councillors. These persons together are called "the great brains", for after passing a first selection they have been trained as leaders, then they have been tested in various fields of activity, and finally a new selection, "by results obtained", raises them to power.

-Your best democratic systems allow a candidate to be elected, but they do not select him, and so it is extremely difficult for "the best man" to come to occupy "the post of greatest responsibility", because normally those among you who reach that post are promoted to it through personal merits, but also by the "political machinery of the parties", by personal ambition for power and by a more or less intelligent handling of publicity.

-We, on the other hand, sift the whole population of URLN (men and women, for there is no distinction of sex when it comes to work), and our "Competitive Examinations for Statesmen" are tremendous and the most difficult of all. Within human fallibility, the system works to the full satisfaction of the whole population of URLN. For us it is a cause of stupefaction to see the competitive examinations to which you subject minor officials, while you exempt the highest leaders from all examination.

-At present, of the thirteen "great brains" of URLN, six are women, one of them a descendant of Earth-dwellers, and the other seven are men of the race of URLN.

-Another descendant of Earth-dwellers also holds a high post in the Directorate of the Educational System, and it is extraordinary that out of one hundred and twenty persons, among three thousand one hundred million, two of them should have been chosen on merit, this being the greatest mark of pride for us, the members of the race that emigrated from the Earth.

-When it is a matter of deciding on important subjects, all the persons of the population of URLN qualified to give an opinion on that subject are consulted by the "great brains", who gather their answers telepathically, classify them, summarize them and draw a conclusion which, by the same mental system, they communicate to the whole population of URLN.

-Thus there are no parliaments, no papers, no written communications, and everything is resolved in the most efficient and rapid way, for there is no lying or deceit among men who can read one another's minds with complete clarity. Our leaders are thus true coordinators of a "public opinion" formed entirely by persons of high education and intellect.

-In economic matters we have what we could call a "Central Department of Electronic Computers" (terrestrial simile) in which each inhabitant and each enterprise of URLN has an account open with a "Debit" and a "Credit".

-According to his performance at work and according to his needs and family situation, each active inhabitant of URLN can periodically withdraw a certain number of "consumption units" (equivalent to your money, although this does not exist physically, but only in accounting form). Likewise his "production units", and the "investment units" allotted to him, are recorded.

-On the whole, what is produced must normally be equivalent to what is consumed, plus the investment units allotted (which create capital income), plus a surplus for state expenditure, which is very moderate since there are no military budgets, and hardly any bureaucratic ones, in the sense you use on Earth. Among us the State has very few consumption expenses.

-Readjustments are made periodically to check whether or not the budget forecasts, both general and individual, are being met, and those who deviate greatly from the norm are warned to come closer to it.

-Unfortunate cases are resolved (in material terms) by a charitable organization founded on Christian principles identical to those you say you practise.

-The political, social and economic systems have all been working to everyone's satisfaction for more than three thousand years, and revolutions or mass protests are unknown.

-There is, however, an "opposition" which cooperates with the Government in improving the details of the general organization and especially helps to establish the adjustments continually demanded by scientific and technological progress. As a "curious thing", the "great brains of the opposition" are officials of the same level as the "great brains of the Government".

-The minds of URLN as a whole can "support the opposition" so that the Government changes its points of view and accepts those of the opposition.

-The members of the latter are elected after the members of the Government, and in such a way that those who disagree with certain ideas of those elected can make their disagreement heard through the "organized opposition".

-No Government has been "overthrown" as a whole for two thousand years, but what do occur are "frequent changes" in the members of the Government, which members of the opposition enter (every three years) to carry out certain modifications for which they have obtained the approval of the majority of the population.

-The Government is thus renewed, but only partially, every three years, a maximum of only one third of the twelve great leaders being renewable. The President can be re-elected or change every six years. (In this way abrupt changes in government policy are avoided.)

-Education expenses absorb ninety per cent of the general State budget and fifty per cent of each family budget, on average, since experience has shown that political and social stability depends on education, as does the forming of a "suitable framework" for the development of each individual's personality, so that he may have the greatest chance of achieving his personal and family happiness.

And in answer to a question of mine:

-All the humanoids of the Cosmos of whom we have news are identical beings in their general structure.

-They have an individual soul, invisible because it is dimensionless, which lives eternally.

-They possess a "memory of their species" which is like a collective soul, which is transmitted by heredity and is also immortal.

-They have a body, the "support of those souls", during their planetary existence.

-Finally, they possess an element of union between the body and their souls which, when it breaks, determines the death of the body, while the souls are freed and pass into a new world, invisible to the senses, of which we have only glimpses through holy men and divine Revelation.

I will now try to finish the summary of the conversation I had with Francisco Atienza, leaving aside very curious but less important data on their social and economic organization, which would take very long to reproduce

On URLN the production of food and industrial articles adjusts to demand without great difficulty, and only "tertiary" goods are "rationed" (or limited in supply). In this respect theirs is a "consumer society", with independent private enterprises that carry out production in competition with one another. The difference from our "capitalist" system is that there all the inhabitants are shareholders, since besides allotting each one "consumption units", they are also allotted "investment units". They are also "active shareholders" who contribute ideas for the development of the enterprises they own. The land, the mines, the trees and everything Nature produces spontaneously are community property. The world State of URLN guarantees work for all. There, working is a right and a duty that everyone fulfils. Administrative decentralization is total, without prejudice to centralized control. When a private enterprise loses its capital (for example, by making articles the public does not like), it disappears, the staff working in it passing to other, better-run enterprises.

However, the most interesting thing is the mental attitude of the inhabitants of URLN, for they show very little regard for everything material, which they use for one single purpose: the perfecting of individuals and of the race.

On the other hand, intellectual life is what absorbs the interest and almost all the time of the inhabitants of URLN, centring much more on the study of man and his problems than on the study of things. They devote much time to meditation, to prayer and to the exchange of ideas with others.

The injustices and irritating differences that exist on Earth between men, races and nations have been abolished there (after they suffered them thousands of years ago), in such a way that practically no social problems exist, and only individual ones remain, and others of a special type, such as going back from too sophisticated a way of life to a more natural one.

To my question of when we Earth-dwellers will be able to reach a similar degree of civilization, he answered me:

-I do not know, for your way of reacting is very disconcerting, but it may happen after a long time of advances and setbacks, as happened to us. The transition must be slow and gradual, for it does not consist in copying some laws, a Constitution, etc. (which nobody then knows), but in a change of mentality that will have to reach every corner of your planet. You will have to bring about that throughout the Earth there reign the social spirit of the Swedes, the political sense of the English, the underlying human dignity of the Spaniards, the disinterest in material things of the Hindus, the pacifism of the Swiss, the efficiency of the North Americans and the Jews, the religious spirit of some Eastern races, the discipline and spirit of work of the Germans and other Nordic races, the Cartesian sense of measure of the French, etc... Then you will be able to establish a world State, as we have, and share out and exploit the riches of the Earth properly, distributing the human population over the Globe in a more logical way than at present.

When I asked him how to carry out such a vast programme, he answered:

-Reform your educational systems above all; put into practice the encyclicals "Pacem in Terris" of John XXIII and "The Progress of Peoples" of Paul VI, bearing in mind that for nations, as for persons, selfishness is the most evident form of moral underdevelopment and that nationalism isolates peoples against what is their true good. You will have to spread a single language, teaching the backward nations to read and developing them; you will have to use all the means of communication at your disposal to establish "a great common task in a world of solidarity" that will attract all the young and all the men who today are disappointed by your failure to reach the ideals that nest in the hearts of all persons of good will, who are the immense majority of Earth-dwellers.

"Choose your rulers, too, from among humble, capable men with clean souls, for our experience, like yours, teaches that ambitious men, swollen with pride and with a craving for domination and power, are the generators of the great catastrophes throughout History and those who cause setbacks in the march of Humanity".

When I asked my extraterrestrial friend whether he thought it advisable for me to spread his ideas in writing, he answered me:

-It can only harm you, because most readers will take you for a madman. It seems to us that, provided no problems arise from a sensationalist launch, it would not be amiss to have some information that counteracts that myth of "the aggressors from space" and that, little by little, like a spreading oil stain, the idea should spread in many minds of Earth-dwellers that "something that will not be unfavourable" may come to us from outer space. In this way (although it is very improbable), if later an official contact were judged advisable, minds would then be prepared to receive "extraterrestrial friends".

-As we read your intelligences, we see the mass of difficulties that would arise if we presented ourselves in a very demonstrative way. The present attitude of the authorities of the Earth is "not to know about us", and we must adapt to it. They bear the responsibility of command and have many problems on their shoulders, and we have no right to add to them.

-There is a small number of humanoids among you, coming from a planet other than mine, and I understand that they think the same. They have a telepathic system different from ours. We cannot communicate with them. We know them "through the minds of a few Earth-dwellers". They come with the same purposes as we do and have our same discreet attitude as regards establishing a minimum of contacts, and only in special cases (1),

(1) This paragraph was communicated to me later, in a telepathic contact while I was in a city of the Levante and Atienza was in America.

My telepathic dialogue with Atienza had lasted approximately an hour, intensively used, given the speed of the mental transmission.

It was he who pointed out to me, for the second time, that I was tiring myself excessively, and drew my attention to the fact that my forehead was perspiring excessively and my breathing was laboured.

My head was also beginning to ache a little, although I hardly noticed it.

-We must bring our conversation to an end and separate -he told me-. We are leaving for America, and from there I am sure we will resume our dialogue. We will have time to go on talking. Our experience today and the perfection of the exercise carried out are a pledge of it. I will always remember this meeting with you with emotion, but surely it will not be repeated in the future, since, as you know, we avoid personal contacts.

-Although born on URLN, I consider myself one more Earth-dweller. I want us to say goodbye with an embrace, and do not let your spirits be clouded by our separation. Our meeting will have great future significance.

I was dazed. We got out of the 1,500 and embraced. My eyes were moist, and I felt something like a tearing apart at the thought that perhaps my dialogue with that good and wise man, bearer of such a fascinating message, source of so much knowledge, would be interrupted for ever...

Atienza quickly covered the fifteen metres separating him from the spaceship, climbed the ladder, which immediately retracted, and, hidden inside, made me a last gesture of friendship before disappearing through the hatch. Some orange lights arranged in a circle came on, and I again felt that unpleasant sensation of nausea, as "of being immersed in a powerful electric field". Without any noise, very rapidly, the saucer rose vertically. Its lights went out and it disappeared into the darkness of the night. I was left physically shaken and mentally shattered.

I went on receiving messages of encouragement from my friend, but perceptibly fainter, which distressed me as I feared our communication would be interrupted for ever, and that I would lose that telepathic power whose exercise had proved so intoxicating to me.

Alone in the night, painfully, I got into my car. The starter did not work, but when I released the brake the SEAT rolled down the slope. I let in the clutch in second gear and the engine started. I went on very slowly, without changing gear, towards the lights of the village of Alarcón, about a kilometre away. I needed to tell someone about my experience, to note down all the details so as not to forget them and also... to rest.

I had never been in the Marqués de Villena parador before. I saw no one in the streets of the village (it was two in the morning), but some signs showed the way to the parador.

I left the car at the entrance. Although I am rather phlegmatic, the moving experience I had just lived through, together with the fact that at that moment my communication with Atienza had been totally interrupted, had left me upset, and I felt a sensation of unhappiness.

I reached the reception desk as best I could. Two young employees of the parador, who must have been somewhat alarmed at my state and at the incoherent explanation I gave them of what had happened to me, attended to me solicitously.

I let myself drop onto a wooden bench and there I began to recover a little. I remember that a glass of water they brought me slipped from my hands and smashed to pieces on the floor.

One of the employees went to fetch the village doctor while another helped me to one of the rooms. I gave him my National Identity Card and the car keys so that he could bring in my luggage.

Once in the room I began to calm down completely, clinging to the hope Atienza had given me that our telepathic dialogue would be resumed a few days later (as, thank God, it was).

The doctor was slow in coming (no doubt they had to wake him, and he had to dress on being called at such an untimely hour).

When he came into my room, I think I was almost normal physically, but still obsessed with the idea of "letting others share" the experience I had just lived through.

He examined me carefully, took my pulse and blood pressure, and from the way he listened to my rather incoherent account I realized that he believed me the victim of a hallucination. I answered his questions, telling him that I never drank and that I had only had a light supper.

I did not want an injection to make me sleep. He gave me a tranquillizer, advising me to put aside a notebook in which I had feverishly begun to summarize the content of my conversation with Atienza, and took his leave, promising to come back first thing in the morning.

I expressly begged the employees of the parador and the doctor not to notify my family in Madrid at all, who were not expecting my arrival, because when I set out I had planned to arrive as a surprise; but the doctor thought it advisable (although he did not tell me) to telephone my family, because he did not think it possible that at eight or ten in the morning I would be in a condition to resume my journey to the capital.

I wrote in the notebook for some time and then fell asleep. To my great surprise, hours later I was woken by three of my daughters and my brother-in-law, who had come quickly from Madrid in his car, having set out as soon as the doctor called them.

Sleep, although very short, had left me in perfect physical condition.

We had breakfast. I paid the parador bill and the doctor's fee, taking my leave of him by calling him a "man of little faith", and showed him the twenty or so matches used up by Atienza that were on the floor of the car and which one of my daughters gathered up, which for me was proof that I had not dreamed.

On the journey to Madrid, at my brother-in-law's request, I stopped at the precise spot where the encounter had taken place, and it occurred to him to look for, and he found, the marks left by the "trailing" of the metal ladder, whose end had rested on the edge of the road.

We went back home, where I reassured my frightened wife (with whom we had already spoken by telephone). I spent a day resting and fitted back into my normal pattern of life, telling of my adventure only to my family and to a very small number of friends.

We investigate the life of,

THE MAN WHO SPOKE WITH AN EXTRATERRESTRIAL BEING

(Third of the series of articles that appeared in "La Actualidad Española", published on 26 12 1968 in LAE No. 886)

The whole article that appeared in issue 886 is an investigation into F. Donis and his journey, carried out by the editorial staff of LAE. The receptionists of the Alarcón Parador are interviewed, as is the doctor. I do not reproduce it.

THE EXTRATERRESTRIAL SPEAKS AGAIN.

WHY WE DO NOT COMMUNICATE OFFICIALLY WITH THE EARTH

(Fourth of the series of articles that appeared in "La Actualidad Española", published on 9 1 1969 in LAE No. 888)

F. Donis speculates about ETs in general and begins to speak about UMMO, a matter he came to know because, on becoming interested in the UFO subject, he learned of the UMMO affair, which was quite well known in Spain in those years, and because those involved in the UMMO Case contacted him. I do not reproduce it, since it provides almost no new data on ATIENZA.

MY NEW CONTACT WITH ANOTHER EXTRATERRESTRIAL RACE

(Fifth of the series of articles that appeared in "La Actualidad Española", published on 13 2 1969 in LAE No. 893).

It deals exclusively with the reception of the UMMO letter asking him to arrange a meeting between them and ATIENZA.
